I have been providing on and off ice goalie training through my own company for the last 12 years. My playing abilities helped me between the pipes for 21 years at various levels, reaching AAA level for most of my minor hockey career. In my draft year I suffered an unfortunate knee injury which prevented myself from accepting offers to play provincial Jr A and CIS hockey. I worked hard to pursued my education and studied kinesiology and health sciences at York University. I have now created my own training program that I enjoy passing on to others who are passionate about being a goaltender. I have been working with various age groups from the select to AAA levels. I believe in a good balance of hard work and fun with my students, this allows for the opportunity to build good relationships and to teach many important traits of this unique position. I am a strong believer in repetition drills that mimic game situations to help prepare young goaltenders for all areas of the game.
I offer my training to minor hockey associations and goalies in Kitchener, Guelph, Waterloo, Cambridge, Hespeler, Hanover and surrounding areas. Please feel free to contact me with any questions about goalie training or any other goalie related questions.
I have also been hired through my company to teach hockey skills and power skating for Inside Edge, and Ice Tech to run their beginner goalie training program. I will also be teaming up with ES Hockey this summer to provide the goalie training at selected summer camps.
